Our Junior Disco last Saturday night was another popular and huge success. Congrats and thanks to Tina Baines and the Junior Committee helpers who worked hard to put a fun activity together for the kids. See photos further down.

Coming up this week…

Tonight sees the NHRU's Black vs White Heat Trial match, with 4 Marist Premiers involved. See Premier report below for further details.

MARIST NH SENIORS

RECREATIONAL SERVICES PREMIER 1
We have an exciting occasion this week with 4 of our Premier players earning their place in the North Harbour NPC trial fixture.

North Harbour have selected the best 60 Premier players to go head to head on Wednesday evening (TONIGHT) at ECB RFC.

The purpose of this trial is to provide the top North Harbour premier players an opportunity to play with and against each other. This trial will also provide NHR the opportunity to see who is capable of making the step up to their NPC squad.

The 60 players have been split into two squads, team White vs team Black. NH Marist players Braedyn Collins, Folaukovi Latu, John Tapueluelu, & Asher Veamatahau are in Team White. We wish our Saints all the best in this fixture.

For White and Black team lists, please scroll down.

Sat 24th June: Recreational Services Premier 1 vs Northcote, 2:45pm, NH Domain 1.

BLUEBELLIES (PRESIDENTS)
Sat 17th June: The Bellies were again light on numbers with injuries taking their toll. ECB, having better numbers, played with true sportsmanship and lent us a number of players to help, and those players enjoyed themselves against normal teammates.

In a game played in great spirit (and the rain stayed away), the score seesawed all game. The Bellies were leading for most of the game, but the greater numbers with ECB enabled them to stay ahead and be on the right side of the 4 all draw by 6 tries to 4.

The team competed to the end and played with great heart.

Players of the day went to two of the ECB players whose tackling and up the guts running stood out.

MARIST NH JUNIORS
Reports for the 17th June below.

J2 HAWKS
J2 had our toughest game against a strong ECB defence and awesome to see our boys hold it together under pressure for another win!
🏉 Player of the Day: Hanro Struwig
🏉 Coaches Award: Niko Suluape
🏉 Opposition POD: Joshua Scharneck
🏉 Special Mention: Shae Purcell-Aki and Ben Morrison

J3 BULLDOGS
A tough but good game against Massey on their turf for Massey's Club Day. Slippery grass and a fast opposition made for an interesting game. Our boys should be proud of their performance.
🏉Player of the Day : Campbell Handrick
🏉Coaches award: Ethan Miller

J5 WOLVES
J5 Wolves had a great win against ECB, with lots of great running rugby, some strong defence and brilliant offloading. We tried to even things up at half time so we played a man down, and massive kudos to Handre who played the whole second half for ECB, even putting in some big hits on his own team mates!!

🏉Player of the Day: Handre Van Loggerenberg
🏉Coaches Award: Jake Hedgman

J6 NINJAS
J6 Ninjas had a depleted team against Mahurangi on the weekend due to player sickness and unavailability. However, a couple of superstars from the sideline helped us get a close win.

🏉Player of the Day: Liam Lochery
🏉Coaches Award: Theo Malota
🏉 Special Mention: Lincoln & Tyler

J7 RED TIGERS
Wow fantastic game from the J7 red Tigers I think the best so far. Played as a full team by backing each other up when passing the ball and starting the game. Lots of great ripping from everyone which saw a number of turnovers. Kids enjoyed their pizzas and drinks after the game thanks to Takapuna Rugby Club. Could say that was a ripper of a game!
🏉Player of the Day: Ava Rodley
🏉Coaches AwardLottie Baines
🏉Opposition POD: Isabella Florian

J7 BLUE TIGERS
J7 Blue Tigers went up against the Northcote Maroon team. Was really a good game. Had some good interlinking between the kids. Learned a lesson about team work as well as about sportsmanship.
🏉Player of the Day: Sage Prendergast
🏉Coaches Award: Liam Maguire-Aubrey
🏉Opposition POD: Kingston Chase

J8 RED DRAGONS
BYE

J8 BLUE DRAGONS
Great Night games at Taka for the J8 Blue Dragons. We played Northcote, and whilst we don’t keep score, the team did very very well.
🏉Player of the Day: Charl du Plessis
🏉Coaches Award: Jack Collie (for not doing snow angels while we are playing)

U15 GIRLS RIP OPALS
Girls U15 had a great tussle with ECB Black. A see saw first half left us up by one at half time. Marist had a great second half with all the passes sticking and well supported line breaks meant we finished up 20-14 ahead.
🏉Player of the Day: Scarlett Gliddon
🏉Coaches AwardTaylor Riechelmann

U11 GIRLS RIP SAPPHIRES
Another challenging game for our U11 Girls team. Plenty of individual flare, just no team cohesion with sticking to our game plan and resetting our defensive line. Shore were a very supportive team to play, and we exchanged several players each in the 2nd half to help our new team gain some field time playing alongside more experienced opposition plyaers. Great for girls rugby development. Te Koha showed her mean side step, and Alora made a great all round contribution.
🏉Player of the Day: Te Koharangi Moynihan
🏉Coaches Award: Alora Hart
🏉Opposition POD: Te Koharangi Moynihan
