By all accounts, our four Harbour Heat trialists did us proud last Wednesday night, with their White team the winners! Also great to hear that a couple Saints dotted down too.

Love your work fellas, GTS!

GOLF DAY
With some heavy rainfall last week, we unfortunately had to postpone our annual Golf Day fundraiser. It will be rescheduled to November, so here's hoping for some more settled and dry weather by then! More details to come at a later date.

Coming up this week…

FRIDAY
Friday night sees the Girls Non-Contact Festival being held on Marist fields, the Oval, and Turf. It'll be a busy night with close to 400 players from all the Clubs, 35 games, plus other fun activities. Our Marist NH U15 Girls Rip Opals team are participating. Marist are kindly opening the bar and kitchen to cater to all that attend.
Our U11 Girls Rip team also play Friday under lights at Kumeu.

SATURDAY
Saturday has 3 Junior teams at home, with the rest away.

Our Marist NH Recreational Services Premier 1 side has a home Quarter Final (more details below), and the Bluebellies are also at home.

We also have our final 100 Club draw this Saturday at the conclusion to the Senior matches. The prizemoney has jackpotted to $1,300 and will go to a ticket holder in attendance. So those with 100 Club tickets, be sure to be at the Vatican this Saturday to have a chance at winning big!

There will also be Drinks Specials running on Saturday afternoon at the Vatican - keep an eye on social media for details.

MARIST NH SENIORS

RECREATIONAL SERVICES PREMIER 1
Sat 24th June: A great battle against fourth place Northcote ensued last Saturday, with a strong wind helping Northcote to a fast start in the first half leading 17-0 before Marist pulled a try back before the break. The third quarter was all Marist with the team dotting down again to trim the lead to 17-10. Unfortunately, the try to tie it up never came and Northcote scored in the dying minutes to take the final score to 22-10. It was one of the better efforts by our Premiers this year and the team looks to be getting stronger as the year progresses, a testament to their coaching and a strong team ethos which has seen heads not drop despite being towards the bottom of the table.

We now move to the Plate competition with our Quarter Final at home against Helensville this Saturday. This will be our last home game so please come down to the Vatican for the last time this year to support our boys!

Sat 1st July: QUARTER FINAL Recreational Services Premier 1 vs Helensville, 2:45pm, NH Domain 1

BLUEBELLIES (PRESIDENTS)
Sat 24th June: BYE

Sat 1st July: Bluebellies vs Silverdale, 2:45pm, NH Domain 2

MARIST NH JUNIORS
Reports for the 24th June below.

J2 HAWKS
Another solid performance from our players at Mahu, with everyone doing their job, even when playing out of position and in wet and muddy conditions.
🏉 Player of the Day: Jacques Du Plessis
🏉 Coaches Award: Ben Morrison
🏉 Opposition POD: Ben Morrison
🏉 Special Mention: Thaunton Bronkhorst

J3 BULLDOGS
Wow!! What a game. Friday night under lights at North Shore and the Bulldogs had the best game of their season so far! A win to us. The boys absolutely nailed the team work and the determination was out the gate. Every single boy on that paddock should  be so proud of the effort that they put into the game. Our hooker even managed to score a try up the wing. They communicated, showed grit, and read the game and each other like a well oiled machine. They were dirty, wet and cold and they did the club proud.
🏉Player of the Day : Louis Bosley
🏉Coaches Award: Thomas Esnouf

J5 WOLVES
J5 Wolves had a great win at Silverdale with some brutal defence on show from the whole team.
🏉Player of the Day: Thomas Paterson
🏉Coaches Award: Lokei Lee
🏉Opposition POD: Nathan Moult

J6 NINJAS
J6 Ninja had a hard physical encounter against Takapuna on Saturday. At times you could have easily thought they were playing a couple grades higher than they are. The Marist players took some heavy knocks throughout the game, however, maintained their composure on both defence and attack to play the style of game they are used to, and got the win.
🏉Player of the Day: Luca Walsh
🏉Coaches Award: Elisala Kupa
🏉 Opposition POD: Corban Lumsden

J7 RED TIGERS
J7 Red Tigers had a good running game with a lot of great tries, including one from Zoe who zigzagged through the Northcote team. But it was mixed bag trying to get the rips resulting from taking a while to wake up. But by the second half they seemed to be getting better and better. Overall it was a great team effort with everyone having a turn. Well done!
🏉Player of the Day: Cooper Stewart
🏉Coaches AwardLottie Zoe Senior
🏉Opposition POD: Lucas Isherwood

J7 BLUE TIGERS
J7 Blue Tigers went up against Northcote Gold. Really a great game. Lots of interaction. Also learning to run straight. Team work was also much better this week.
🏉Player of the Day: Griff Wilcox
🏉Coaches Award: Janko Bouwer
🏉Opposition POD: Jax Chase

J8 RED DRAGONS
Offense was the winner on the day for the Red Dragons, which resulted in a high scoring game for both teams. We had some excellent runs with the kids expertly dodging the opposition, and continuing to work on getting rips and passing between their team mates.
🏉Player of the Day: Teddy Walker
🏉Coaches Award: Walter Brown

J8 BLUE DRAGONS
No Report.

U15 GIRLS RIP OPALS
U15s had a great tussle against a pretty smooth Taka Grammar team. A lot of see saw in the score but TGS finished ahead at the whistle, 21-18. Kenzie gets an award for best try dive in the mud!
🏉Player of the Day: Maddie Jackson
🏉Coaches Award: Kenzie Bowden

U11 GIRLS RIP SAPPHIRES
U11 Sapphire’s had a ‘mixed bag’ game this morning. 11 tries to the more experienced Helensville teams 19. Great fair play attitude from both teams, along with a keen to learn new opposition ref made for an all round positive game. When we execute our training & game plan we’re pretty unstoppable and we’ve got loads of talent. Regular moments where focus is lost sees us loosing our defensive shape, chasing rips & getting tired. Plenty to celebrate, plenty to keep working on. Our captain Sammie, is developing into a remarkable leader and was amazing on both attack & defence.
Special mention for our fabulous support crew of parents & grandparents each week who are positive, helpful & full of the Saints spirit!
🏉Player of the Day: Storm Waye
🏉Coaches Award: Sammie Kelly
🏉Opposition POD: Sammie Kelly
