MARIST NH SENIORS

BLUEBELLIES (PRESIDENTS)
Sat 22nd July: This week saw the last of the trophy games this season. In another game with low numbers, Helensville came out on the right side of the 4 all draw.  Both halves were well contested and played in good spirit. Some defensive lapses saw some soft tries leak through, but with the lack of reserves on the sideline having back up for the weary bodies on the field, those lapses were going to occur. Player of the day went to Mark Edwards for another strong and consistent game across the board.
Special mention for Nili, Jacob, Ambrose and Fletch, who helped out in getting our numbers up for the game. Without them we would have really struggled.  Big thanks to those 4 for putting the boots on.

Sat 29th July: Bluebellies vs Glenfield, 2:45pm, Kaipatiki 1

MARIST NH JUNIORS
A group of our J7 players will be playing in the Snow White tournament at Northcote this Sunday 30th July. The Snow White tournament is an invitational tournament to give J7 Rippa teams from the North Harbour Rugby Union an opportunity for a mid-season festival of rugby and to play against some different teams to those they face on Saturday mornings. Good luck team!

Reports for the 22nd July below.

J2 HAWKS
Another great demonstration of skill from the J2 boys this week against Massey, coming out with another win. Great to see them continuing to grow each week. Big hit of the day, Mason!
🏉 Player of the Day: Fanie Venter
🏉 Coaches Award: Asher Manu
🏉 Special Mention: Regardt Prinsloo
🏉 Opposition POD: Quintin Van Heerden

J3 BULLDOGS
It was a stunning morning in Mahurangi with the new motorway making it a more of a pleasurable drive.
We took a bit to find our pre holiday energy and some of us still felt like we were a tad relaxed. Mahu got off to a great start and rang rings round us. We had a Rev up at half time, found our inner mongrel and got stuck in! We had an amazing come back and won the second half. Not enough to win the game but enough to feel the fire in the belllies again. Bring on next week.
🏉Player of the Day: Toby Pudney
🏉Coaches Award: Sam Baines
🏉 Opposition POD: Toby Pudney

J5 WOLVES
No Report.

J6 NINJAS
J6 Ninjas played their most comprehensive all-round performance on Saturday against ECB and came away with a much-deserved win. With the team still applying a huge focus on tackling technique, the kid’s defensive skills and most importantly, confidence is growing every game.
🏉Player of the Day: Liam Craddock
🏉Coaches Award: Corban Lumsden
🏉 Opposition POD: Luca Walsh

J7 RED TIGERS
The J7 Red Tigers had a great game with everyone playing very well. Some great performances that even surprised me. Was nice playing at Devonport for the first time too.
🏉Player of the Day: Harrison Gott
🏉Coaches Award: Thiart van der Merwe
🏉Opposition POD: Lottie Baines

J7 BLUE TIGERS
J7 Blue Tigers had one of their best games on Saturday. Really worked together as a team with great defence and great ball handling skills. Also showed awesome sportmanship.
🏉Player of the Day: Kingston Chase
🏉Coaches Award: Miro Prendergast
🏉Opposition POD: Sage Prendergast

J8 RED DRAGONS
J8 Red Dragons had an excellent game playing North Shore for the first time. All their training in defence paid off with plenty of rips each play including 6 in one go. All team members are keen to have a run with the ball and they're passing skills are improving each week.
🏉Player of the Day: Conor Cann
🏉Coaches Award: Eli Austin
🏉Opposition POD: Conor Cann

J8 BLUE DRAGONS
J8 Blue Dragons had a great defensive game against Northcote on Saturday, turning the ball over multiple times. Lots of support play on attack including some great passing.

🏉Opposition POD: Charl du Plessis

U15 GIRLS RIP OPALS
Marist U15s had a great tussle with Takapuna Grammar on a pretty boggy pitch and came away with the win 13-10.

🏉Coaches Award: Millie McGrath

U11 GIRLS RIP SAPPHIRES
U11 Sapphire’s had an impressive match drawing against ECB at home. Our girls are on a positive trajectory, all working hard for each other on the field. Confidence is increasing with more rips and ball carrier support.

🏉Coaches Award: Summer Fullam
🏉Opposition POD: Te Koharangi Moynihan
