Keith Davis, a Life Member and stalwart of our Club passed away on Saturday, aged 89.
Keith certainly loved Marist North Harbour. He was a committee member in the early days, and is remembered for the great job he did for years on the meat raffles.
Keith played 54 games for Auckland and won the Ranfurly Shield in his first appearance for the province.
Keith then at the age of 22, gained All Blacks and New Zealand Māori selection in 1952. He was part of the All Blacks squad that toured Great Britain and France in 1953-54. He played 10 tests in the black jersey over seven seasons.
Keith being a famous All Black and Maori All Black, bought a great presence to our Club, and was an inspiration to our players.
May he Rest In Peace.
